That evenin' sun go down

Tonight on the way to visit Scott in the hospital. Now that the leaves have fallen, more of the sunset is visible here.

The deer of the day

Spotted by dachshunds, who were throwing themselves against the window. He is ready for the rut, and most probably will succumb to the hunt, which starts soon. No way to protect him, his delicate beauty.

Morning light

This is why they tell you to photograph in early or late light. This is what is happening in my morning meadow every day this week. I feel blessed.

End of August

One geranium floret on the front porch; a marvel of detailed beauty.

Emu eye

The all-sentient eye of the (actually pretty dumb) emu continues to fascinate me.

Experiment

Camerabag for PC automatic conversion (I didn't mean to convert the whole folder!) to vintage style of a photo of a kid dance class. I was about to throw these out, but I find I like this one.

Crazy 4 Beads

Enjoyed the Eagle outdoor market this morning. I think this booth was beautifully composed. The glare was such that I had trouble seeing the screen on my camera (no viewfinder, alas) but the soft light under the tent toppers was great. I wish I had take more pictures!

Koi Ranger Boots

Today the koi ranger took us to the "nursery tanks" for
youmg koi that will be returned to the pond after the new
filtration system is installed. They often worked in the Japanese
Garden pond wearing these boots.

After the Thiebaud exhibit

Went to the museum in the rain with our friend, Elsie.
Saw the Thiebaud exhibit--I wasn't sure it had his best work--
I'll be looking into what other people thought. This reviewer
thought it showcased his humor and liked the show.
I wanted more, and earlier, cakes and pies and more extreme San Francisco
street scenes. But we did have FUN!

The reading today with the Barnstones, father and son, lasted an hour and fifteen minutes longer than planned. The park was closing and I had to get out, but managed to snap the wagon, one building and some blue flowers on the way to the gate.

It is always fun to go through old photos and find something not noticed before. This is from last year.

Someone left this memento of the beach on the deck. I thought the shapes went together nicely and rearranged to emphasize that.
